Know Your Rights

The Labour Code provides workers and employers without distinction with the right to:

  • -

    Establish and join organisations of their own choosing, with a view to furthering and defending their respective interests.
  • -

    Draw up their own constitution and rules.
  • -

    Elect their representatives and hold office in any trade union or employer organisation.
  • -

    Organise their administrative and lawful activities and to formulate their programmes.
  • -

    Establish and join federations.
  • -

    Recognition and collective bargaining.
  • -

    Establish collective agreements.
  • -

    Strike or lockout
  • -

    Arbitration procedures.
  • -

    File civil suit for any infringements of rights.
